Hello Posse families,
In these unprecedented times we find ourselves having to pause all activity due to government restrictions announced Tuesday, May 4th. All programming will cease immediately until May 30th. In addition, the GELC Board of Directors has officially communicated that there will be no 2021 league play this season. Should government restrictions ease at the end of this month, all that we will be able to offer is practice time. The RMLL has not ruled out a season for our Junior team through the summer, but I would suggest it is highly unlikely at this point.
As such, we will not be processing any further scheduled payments. As we stated in the beginning, if we made it to April 15th that payment would be processed without refund. That said, if you chose to pay in full upon registration, our treasurer or registrar will be in contact within the next couple weeks to provide a refund. It is my hope that you have found reasonable value from March to May for your money spent. If we do resume on May 31st, there will be no further charges for this floor time as we were successful in securing the Alberta re-launch grant for non-profits. In order to effectively plan for a possible return we would appreciate you taking a couple minutes to fill in this quick survey on whether you want to resume and attend practices from May 31st to June 24th.
Should you have any unanswered questions regarding this announcement, please contact your division director.
Your Posse Executive and Board of Directors are disappointed in this outcome, as I am sure all of your are. We must however do our part to prevent spread if we hope to resume any kind of normal by summer. I appreciate your continued support and understanding and I hope to see everyone back under much better circumstances in June, Winter Box or next season!
Take care everyone,
Mike Sim
