Season Wrap-Up ages 4-16
Hello Posse families,
With the temporary pause of activities likely coming to an end this month, our Board of Directors would like to give all minor players aged 4-16 an opportunity to come out one last time and throw on some jerseys and scrimmage before we break for summer. There will be no cost for this event and all that is required to attend is to sign up by filling out the form at the link below:
REGISTER FOR LACROSSE DAY - Saturday, June 19, Glenn Hall Arena, Stony Plain currently scheduling between 10 AM - 6 PM.
In addition to age appropriate scrimmages we are planning the following weather permitting:
- Free snacks
- Fun and games outside
- Meet our Junior players
- CanLax booth for all your equipment needs
- Limited Posse merchandise for sale
We are hopeful that this will be a great way to close the book on two cancelled pandemic seasons and look forward to next year. We are forecasting the following scrimmages based on our registration numbers (times to be determined):
6U
8U
10U Boys
10U-12U Girls combined
12U Boys
14U Boys
14U-16U Girls combined
16U Boys
We will have goalie gear on site, but we will need some new volunteers for the position to make the scrimmages more fun! One other piece of great news is that the relaunch plan announced by the government, which we expect to take effect June 10th, will allow for spectators to a maximum of 30% occupancy. That should mean that each player could have two fans cheering them on this day.
Plans are also in the works for a fall/winter development program, but if you still want to play lacrosse this summer we strongly recommend you check out the local field lacrosse programs as they are just getting started without restrictions.
If you are wanting to watch some lacrosse. The RMLL has authorized exhibition play and tournaments for our Junior team this summer. We will be posting game days on our web page and social media. With the government allowing 30% of occupancy in our facilities, we are hopeful that some fans can attend.
