Evaluations

Good evening 12U parents. Just wanted you to let you know that tomorrow's evaluation will be a non-contact scrimmage game. Many of the kids have not played since Tyke or first year Novice and a few have never played at all. For this reason, I have decided to eliminate a skills session. We will be having 2 parity teams at U12 with the elimination of the C division. I will have sign in sheets and pinnies assigned to the kids tomorrow. I will try my best to balance the teams tomorrow right at the start basing my rosters on who has played previously, new players, 1st or 2nd year U12's etc. THESE ARE NOT NECESSARILY THE FINAL ROSTERS. There are 2 more evaluation times after tomorrow and there will likely be player movement to make sure the teams are as even as possible. If I feel the teams are balanced after the 2nd scrimmage then the final evaluation floor time will be used as a shared practice. I will be on the floor tomorrow evaluating the 8u's but I will be available after the scrimmage for any questions. We will only have 1 goalie for scrimmage tomorrow so he will play a half for each team. The format will be a 10 min warmup for each team, 2 20 min halves, with a 5 min break in between. I will address the kids before the game to ensure they understand this is a non-contact game so we can evaluate their skills and gameplay. Even though it is non-contact, please ensure you child comes with full equipment. Those of you who volunteered to coach, please come on out and swing a gate on the benches.
