Staff

Head Coach - Shawn Schimpf	Shawn has been coaching lacrosse ever since he stopped playing and has racked up a significant resume with three consecutive U17-A GELC Championships and two consecutive Provincial Championship teams for the West Zone from 2017-18. Shawn prides himself on being a players coach, and believes the true measure of a successful program is seeing players return to play and later coach when their playing days are over. He is passionate about helping the Posse develop a strong culture of success and has coached nearly all of our alumni currently attending NCAA schools. .
Defensive Coach / General Manager - Mike Sim	Mike has coached many sports but his passion is lacrosse. Eighteen years ago he began coaching lacrosse in Victoria, BC and continued after moving to Edmonton in the West Edmonton Blues organization until the Posse was formed in 2008. Since then Mike has been a tireless volunteer filling the Coaching Director, Vice President and President roles on the Posse's minor board. Mike is excited to pick up where the team left off in 2022 and build a legacy of highly competitive teams that graduate players to Tier I and Junior A careers.
Goaltending Coach - Tyrone Willushaw	Tyrone grew up playing lacrosse in Langley BC, eventually graduating to play Junior A for the Burnaby Lakers and Senior A with the New Westminster Salmonbellies with stops in Ontario and back with the Langley Junior and Senior B teams along the way. Some career highlights include playing in the Founderâ€™s, Minto and Presidentâ€™s Cups as well as being named the Burnaby Lakerâ€™s Team MVP, a BCJALL First Team All Star, and the BCJALL's Goaltender and Graduating Player of the Year. Tyrone was also a four year starting goaltender for the Simon Fraser University Menâ€™s Field Lacrosse team helping them reach four straight MCLA US National Championship Tournaments which included a second place finish in his junior year. Tyrone moved to Spruce Grove in 2017 and became involved with the Parkland Posse through coaching his daughter Parker and then joining the Posse Jr B team as an assistant coach in 2021.
Offensive Coach - Doug Tokar	Doug joins our coaching staff for the 2023 season bringing with him both International and NCAA playing experience as well as years of playing and coaching experience most recently in the RMLL Senior B division. Doug's kids have come through the Posse minor system and gone on to NCAA scholarships. He has been watching from afar since the Junior program began and is excited to help our players work towards a provincial championship.
Assistant Coach - Joel Henderson	Joel and Shawn began coaching together in the West Edmonton Blues organization, and Joel came with Shawn to the West Zone U17-A program in 2015. Joel fosters strong relationships with players and focuses on improving confidence through athleticism and understanding the game. Joel will return in 2023 in a limited role as he prepares for his wedding.
Trainer - Katelyn Drake	Katelyn has her Bachelor of Kinesiology, majoring in Sports Performance. Throughout the past 4 years, she's worked within the PAC Saints organization as a trainer for their U15AA & U15AAA teams. She learned a lot about lacrosse in her first season with the team in 2022, and is looking forward to returning in 2023.
