Erik Turner joins the Posse

Feb. 13, 2024

Posse family, this is a big deal!

It's our extreme pleasure to announce that Erik Turner has accepted the position of Coach/Technical Director with the Posse for the 2024 season and hopefully beyond.  Erik started playing lacrosse around age 11 and picked up the game rather quickly.  He played his minor and junior lacrosse here in Edmonton and went on to play field lacrosse at Cornell University where he achieved Ivy League honors three times and was a 2013 NCAA Final Four Champion.  A few years later he realized his dream of playing professional lacrosse in the NLL for the Colorado Mammoth when they won the NLL Championship in 2022, and most recently was a member of the expansion franchise Las Vegas Desert Dogs.

While playing at the highest levels, Erik has become a highly sought after coach in many organizations.  He has worked as the Director of PacBox All-Stars, Director of Apex Lacrosse, Las Vegas Lacrosse Youth Development Manager and Technical Advisor to the GELC.  Having 10+ years of coaching experience now under his belt across various programs both in Canada and the USA, Erik is passionate about building the game through coach and player mentorship.  His ideas to improve skill level across all divisions of play will be revolutionary for the development of both our athletes and our coaches.  We couldn't be more excited!

Through our recruitment of Erik it was clear that he had a great respect for the Posse, our history and our commitment to growing the game.  To quote him "Let's do this!"  Indeed Erik, let's do this and take our athletes and coaches to a whole new level.

Welcome to the Posse Erik!
