If you are new to coaching lacrosse and looking for help to improve your skills, please begin with our Posse Coaches Handbook along with the GELC Handbook which is also provided at the annual GELC Coaches Meeting.

Our Technical Direction team has grown to include several people for the 2018 season.  Please contact them at the emails below to book support at your next practice.

Rory Turner - Player Development Director - specializing in fundamental training with Mini-Tyke to Novice aged children

Brooke Huber 780-222-6641 - Female Technical Director - specializing in growing fundamental and team skills within the female divisions

Norm Shaw - Director at Large - specializing in assisting players transition to Junior lacrosse in the RMLL

Our Midget A team also has a program to have get our players giving back to the association by volunteering their time to help with the younger age groups.  If you would like some of those players to assist you this season please contact Shawn. Schimpf.

Goaltending Direction: We are very fortunate to have several former goalies coaching in our organization.  In an effort to develop more goalies in the Posse, we are looking at booking a regular floor time throughout the season dedicated to goalie development.  Stay tuned...

Coaching Qualifications

Please click the following links to familiarize yourself with the ALA / GELC coaching requirements and process for registering for upcoming courses.  Any coach that is willing to volunteer their time will receive the volunteer credit for their efforts - provided they complete the required training by June 1st, 2018.

All coach training costs will be covered by the Parkland Posse provided the following steps are followed:

1.  New coaches must contact the GELC Admin - Donna at GELC Office to obtain a code to enter when creating your account with the CLA and registering for the clinic through the NCCP training site.

2.  Returning coaches must pre-register for your required clinic with the GELC Admin - Donna at the GELC, and then complete register online by logging into their personal account at the NCCP training site.

*When these steps are followed no coach should be required to provide CC information for payment as the GELC will bill the Posse directly.
