ALA Annual General Meeting

Hey coaches, it's that time of year again when representatives from the Posse Executive will be heading to the ALA AGM the weekend of November 10-12.  At this meeting we need your proxy to vote in the best interest of our club, and currently all proxies were filled out to Bruce Bellerose who unfortunately cannot attend.  Myself, Shawn Schimpf (Bantam/Midget Director), Norm Shaw (Director at Large / Junior B Coordinator) and Ken Foster (Registrar) will be attending to give our club a voice.  WE NEED YOUR COOPERATION so that we have the votes needed to have more than just a voice.

If you were a head coach for the 2017 Season, please click this link, sign the form  giving your vote to Mike Sim and send back via email to no later than November 8, 2017.

Thanks in advance,

Mike Sim

Vice President - Parkland Posse Lacrosse

Coach Development

If you are new to coaching lacrosse and looking for help to improve your skills, please take advantage of our Coach Mentorship nights or reach out to one of our executives listed below to help you out at an upcoming practice.

Our Player Development Director will be available every Tuesday throughout the season to assist with practice plans and technical skill development.  Please contact Rory minimum 4 days prior to your floor time so he can prepare a practice plan.

Our Midget Director has embarked on a program to have our 'A' players give back to the association by volunteering their time to help with the younger age groups.  If you would like some of those players to assist you this season please contact Shawn.

Please click the following links to familiarize yourself with the ALA / GELC coaching requirements and process for registering for upcoming courses.  Any coach that is willing to volunteer their time will receive the volunteer credit for their efforts - provided they complete the required training by June 1st, 2017.

All coach training costs will be covered by the Parkland Posse provided the following steps are followed:

1.  New coaches must contact the GELC Admin - Donna at GELC Office to obtain a code to enter when creating your account with the CLA and registering for the clinic through the NCCP training site.

2.  Returning coaches must pre-register for your required clinic with the GELC Admin - Donna at the GELC, and then complete register online by logging into their personal account at the NCCP training site.

*When these steps are followed no coach should be required to provide CC information for payment as the GELC will bill the Posse directly.
