They're Back!

The Parkland Posse are thrilled to announce the return of three coaches that were integral in leading the Junior B team last season to a playoff berth and their best statistical season since the expansion of the league.

Mike Sim is returning as the Head Coach and recently told the Posse that he looks forward to the challenge of building upon the momentum from last season, despite having nine players age out of the division.  Mike has been a long serving member of the Posse Executive and is committed to growing the sport by creating an unmatched player experience.

Erik Turner, who is also currently the Posse Technical Director is returning as the lead skills coach for the team.  Many people in the Edmonton area are very familiar with Erik as he is regularly involved in coaching with both APEX and PACBOX programs as well as his involvement with all teams in the Posse.  Erik is still an active player in the WLA with the Coquitlam Adanacs and brings a wealth of experience to our players.  He is an outstanding coach that shares Coach Mike's passion for creating a positive playing experience while building the confidence of the players and skill level of lacrosse in the province.

Foster Rae is also returning and although relatively new to the Posse he is happy to be giving back to the game that he loved to play not that long ago.  Foster was a huge help in the pre-season last year helping all age groups through drop-in's and was sorely missed from the Junior coaching staff when he left for his hunting and guiding job in BC last season.  Foster is a real players coach, who has a great communication style and can often be found spending extra time around the rink to help players understand the importance of the fundamentals.
