Welcome to U7 lacrosse

Who can register?

Any child that will turn 4, 5 or 6 in the calendar year.  If you are registering a child turning 4, a parent or guardian will be required to join the coaching staff.

Season Information

One hour per week, typically Wednesdays.  Teams are co-ed with the game played on a half-floor 4v4.  Team size is capped at 8 players with all children rotating through the goalie position.  Season begins early April and concludes with a weekend jamboree in Edmonton mid-June.  In this division we do support creating teams with friends, as such please feel free to message the division director with no more than two friend requests for team placement.

Equipment

Despite the game being played with a soft rubber ball, there are minimum equipment standards which can be found on our equipment page.  Lacrosse gloves are recommended but not required, hockey gloves are adequate until age 7.  Players will be provided a team pinnie, but should have a good pair of running shoes.  At this age they can wear any shorts they choose, preferably a plain black style.

Division Objectives

U7 Vision - Engage the kids in fun games that promote skill development and a love for the game.  The coach's goal should be that all kids return the following season.
