2026 A team Information

2026 season:

U13A and U15A  will be hosted by the Parkland Posse Association.  

U17A will be a zone team for the 2026 season.

Purpose of the A Teams:

To provide the most skilled players in our area the opportunity to compete at the highest level of play available in their division.  

What your child should expect:

• Exposure to some of the best lacrosse coaches in the GELC.
• High commitment level is expected from all players 
• An expectation to attend all practices and games with a positive attitude, high level of compete and excellent work ethic.
• An expectation to be a team player. 
• Have fun!

What the parent(s) should expect:

• To see their child challenged against the most skilled players in the GELC.
• Additional practice time*
• Travel for games/ Tournaments*
• Team apparel*
• Have fun and enjoy watching your kids play.

*A seed cheque will be required to cover these additional costs.

Evaluation process:

We will be starting the evaluation process the first week of March, with the goal of having our A teams formed by the second week of March.  If you would like to be considered for the A team, you must attend at least 2 of these evaluation sessions, and have submitted your A intent through RAMP by March 1st. 

• Evaluations will be supported by independent evaluators to ensure a fair process.

Coaching Guidelines:

• Coaching Selection will be done via applications and an interview process with a panel of board members. If a parent coach is named, they will be expected to recuse themselves from any discussion of their own child’s evaluation or team placement.

Miscellaneous

• Volunteer commitments are still necessary to successfully operate any team i.e. Team Manager, Treasure, Jersey parent, Fundraising coordinator, Game day duties Etc.
• The Posse volunteer commitment is also required to receive your 200$ deposit back.
